Letao Records RMB 300,000 Daily Sales

Chinese online B2C retailer Letao has reported earning over RMB 300,000 in daily sales revenue, with goods mostly in the RMB 300-500 price range, and over 1,000 orders filled each day.

In May 2009, Letao transitioned from an online toy store to a B2C shop specializing in shoes. The site initially sold mainly athletic brands, and later added fashion brands to its offerings. Letao currently offers over 2,500 models of shoes from 33 brands.

Letao cooperates on promotion with sites such as 51fanli.com, a rebate site, and is discussing cooperation with Sina's (Nasdaq: SINA) microblog and Baidu's (Nasdaq: BIDU) instant messaging product, Baidu Hi.

Letao's 10-person technical team comprises 20% of the company's total headcount. Letao reports a returned goods rate of 2%, of which the majority are from pay-on-delivery orders.
