99Bill Exec Arrested for Gambling Involvement

The website of China's Ministry of Public Security has posted a notice that an executive at Chinese third-party payment provider 99Bill surnamed Mei was arrested for involvement in a gambling case that was recently solved in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. Mei was found to have been conspiring to aid a foreign gambling organization in transferring over RMB 3 bln in funds, from which 99Bill earned over RMB 17 mln.
