MTC Enters Brazil Set-Top Box Market

Shenzhen-based TV product maker MTC (002429.SZ) has revealed that it has signed a purchase contract to supply Brazil's U-Tech with USD 937,500 worth of digital set-top boxes (STBs).
MTC said this marks the company's first foray into Brazil's set-top box market, and that the company expects to see high growth in the second half of the year. The new contract accounts for 0.23% of the company's audited operating revenue for the most recent fiscal period.
On June 15, MTC also signed a contract with ESI Enterprises, Inc., for the supply of USD 13.23 mln worth of LCD TVs, accounting for 3.18% of operating revenue in the most recent period.
