Baidu Posts Openings for Voice Search Staff

Sina Tech, 7/08/10

On July 7, Chinese internet company Baidu (Nasdaq: BIDU) posted openings on its official careers site for a number of voice search staff, including a voice recognition technical lead, engineers, and senior engineers.

A source close to Baidu said that Baidu's voice search technology would first be applied on mobile phones. "The reason Baidu is doing large-scale voice search now is because the domestic market conditions are mature, including widespread smartphone use, and faster mobile networks," said the source.
