Founder to Sell iPad in China

Beijing-based PC and peripherals manufacturer Founder Technology (600601.SH) has told reporters that the company is in discussions with Apple to sell the iPad, and that progress on the partnership will soon be announced. Founder declined to say when the iPad would be available on the China market.

Founder Group senior VP and chairman of Founder Apabi Fang Zhonghua said that one of Founder's subsidiaries has long been one of the major four resellers of Apple products in China, and the two companies have a long history of cooperation. Fang said that Founder is currently developing customized applications for Apple's iPad, bringing together numerous publications and newspapers to which Founder holds licensing rights to provide to its future iPad users.
