Ex-Googlers from Aibang Launch Group Buy Site

Song Zhongjie, former general manager of sales for the China region at Google, has entered the group purchasing market with a new site that launched today, Didatuan.com. The site has been in preparation for less than ten days following Song's resignation from local listings site Aibang.
Former Google senior channel manager Li Jinlong, former Google business development general manager Zhu Min, and former Google south China region senior sales manager Li Yuejun have joined Song's team.
Regarding Didatuan's funding, Song said that the company is currently operating out of pocket, but is currently engaged in talks with several investors, and that details would be revealed at an appropriate time.
Didatuan launched simultaneously in the five cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Qingdao, and Xi'an, while the site is currently preparing for broader deployment nationwide, and will reach another three or four cities by year-end, said Song. Song added that Didatuan will establish operation centers in each region to be run by local partners that will receive training and guidance from Didatuan.
