Rumor: Former Kingsoft CEO to Head Gaming, Antivirus

Tencent Tech, 7/14/10

An industry source has revealed that angel investor and former CEO of Chinese software and game developer Kingsoft (3888.HK) Lei Jun attended a small executive meeting at the company recently. Kingsoft chairman Kau Pak Kwan reportedly announced at the meeting that Kingsoft's online game and Kingsoft Internet Security businesses would report directly to Lei.

Lei said that he only wished to be responsible for Kingsoft's Season Game Studio and Internet Security business.

When contacted by reporters yesterday, a person responsible at Kingsoft said they were unaware of the situation.
