MIIT: PC Market to Exceed 50 Mln Units in 2010

Jing Xiaobo, deputy director of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's (MIIT) Performance Inspection & Coordination Bureau, announced at today's 2010 PC Industry Development Summit Forum of China in Nanjing that China's internet users have exceeded 404 mln. He added that China's PC market is estimated to reach over 50 mln units this year to become the world's largest IT market.

Editor's Note: On July 15, in its 26th report on the state of development of China's internet, the China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC) said that as of June 2010, China had 420 mln internet users.
