Rumor: China Unicom iPhone 4 to Hit Market Soon

An informed industry source has revealed that China Unicom (NYSE: CHU; 0762.HK; 600050.SH) will launch the iPhone 4 on September 10, and will begin nationwide sales on September 13. The price for the iPhone 4 will reportedly be the same as the contract price for the iPhone 3GS.

The source said that the "ideal state of affairs" would be for the handset to receive a network access permit this month.
