Sohu, BBC Sign Content Sharing Agreement

Chinese online media, communication, search, online gaming and wireless value-added services provider Sohu (Nasdaq: SOHU) has signed a content sharing agreement with BBC Worldwide, marking the latter's first digital content agreement in China. The agreement grants Sohu the broadcasting rights to certain BBC programming for two years, including Great Expectations, A Tale of Two Cities, Planet Earth and Teletubbies. The agreement was announced on August 25 in Beijing during BBC Worldwide's unveiling of its new BBC Showcase China program. Sohu has remained low-key about the deal, and has yet to release a statement or make a public announcement.
