Rumor: Alibaba Invests in E-Commerce Image Search

Chinese e-commerce firm Alibaba has reportedly invested in image-based e-commerce search company Taotaosou.com, which is scheduled to officially launch in late September.

According to industry rumors, Taotaosou is the successor to an e-commerce image search project that was one of ten winning entries in the 2009 "Win in Taobao" open application competition.
