AdChina Enters Mobile Ad Market

Shanghai Business Daily, 9/07/10

On September 2, advertising agency AdChina announced that it would move into the mobile internet market. Founder and CEO Yan Fangjun told reporters that the company expects the mobile advertising market to grow from nearly zero to RMB 20 bln over the next five years. He added that China's traditional Internet ad market took over ten years - from 1999 to the present - to reach this level.

Thus far, AdChina has integrated its resources to build a mobile internet advertising platform covering up to 200 mln mobile internet users. By 2013, Yan said, the company hopes for its mobile internet advertising platform to rival its regular internet advertising platform, with both platforms to act as the engines driving the agency's two major businesses.
