Lenovo Subsidiary eedoo to Raise 2nd Round Funding

Luo Zheng, CEO of Chinese PC and laptop manufacturer Lenovo Group's (0992.HK) games division Beijing eedoo Technology, has stated that the company plans to seek a second round of funding in the tens of millions of US dollars. Luo said that the company had been in contact with several venture capital firms, and had received good feedback.

Luo added that eedoo planned to release its game console in the first quarter of next year, competing with game console manufacturers like Sony, Nintendo and others. Approximately 40 Lenovo software engineers have been sent to eedoo, where they will be responsible for product development and marketing.
