Datang Telecom Technology Buys Controlling Stake in Uniscope

Datang Telecom Technology (600198.SH) has announced the acquisition of a 16% equity stake in mobile phone design and manufacturing firm Shanghai Uniscope Technologies from shareholders Gu Xinhui and Xiong Bihui (8% and 8%, respectively) for the purchase price of RMB 63.78 mln. Once completed, the transfer of shares will raise Datang Telecom Technology's total equity stake in Uniscope to 51%. The two sellers will each retain a 24.5% equity stake in Uniscope after the transfer.
