China Starts Fourth-Round Rural Appliance Program Bidding

Guangzhou Daily, 10/14/10

China's Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Commerce, and Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), have jointly issued an announcement seeking bids for the 2010 Rural Appliance Program. Companies whose bids were accepted in previous years will have to reissue completely new bids for this, the fourth round of country-wide bidding for the contracts. Companies can provide bids on 80 products, up from 50 in the previous round, though upper price limits on individual products remain the same as they were in previous years.
