SARFT Approves China National Radio's 3G Mobile TV Platform

China National Radio (CNR) has announced that its 3G mobile phone TV integrated broadcasting platform, currently under construction, has been approved by China's State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT). The platform has been connected to China Mobile's (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK) video operations center. The center is responsible for all of China Mobile's streaming media video commercial operations, and already serves over 5 mln users.

CNR senior management said that CNR has already submitted a series of applications for network audiovisual business licenses to operate online video and IPTV services, and has already begun development and financing for these projects.
