China Residential Cable TV Subscribers Exceed 175 Mln

Pang Jingjun, deputy director of Development Research Center at China's State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT), announced on November 1 that the number of residential cable TV subscribers in China exceeded 175 mln households, accounting for one-third of residential cable TV subscribers worldwide. DTV conversion has been completed in 163 large and medium-sized cities, with cable DTV subscribers exceeding 65 mln and bi-directional DTV subscribers exceeding 30 mln.
