Qiyi Users Reach 86 Mln

Chinese online video site Qiyi, a subsidiary of internet firm Baidu's (Nasdaq: BIDU), today announced that users reached 86 mln, or 1/3 of China's total online video users, in October, with average viewing time per user reaching 114.7 minutes per day. Qiyi said the data came from third-party analyst firm Millward Brown.

CEO Gong Yu said Qiyi has already invested RMB 50 mln to establish CDN nodes in 30 cities to ensure smooth video playback.
