Taobao Announces Childcare Channel

Hangzhou-based B2C and C2C e-commerce platform Taobao announced its new maternity and childcare platform (baobao.taobao.com) today. According to figures from the company, Taobao's maternity and childcare platform already has more than a 90% share of the online maternity and childcare market.
The new platform offers more than 25 mln products for sale, and has 3 mln regular registered users. Every minute, the platform handles sales of 500 containers of formula and 280 containers of diapers.
