Sina Tech, 11/29/10

On November 26, Chinese internet company Sina (Nasdaq: SINA) and Shanghai-based Wi-Fi network architecture and media services provider WiWide announced that they would form a strategic partnership, in concert with the Beijing Western Food Association, for a three-month promotion that will offer restaurants free Wi-Fi connectivity and Wi-Fi equipment - as well as three months of free brand and store promotion on Sina's website - and permanent free 24x7 support services from WiWide.

Participating businesses currently include Burger King, Haagen-Dazs, Yonghe King, RBT, UBC Coffee, and Super 8 Hotels, among others. Beijing Western Food Association director Wei Qing said that the promotion was currently focused mainly on the cities of Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen.
