Rumor: Foxconn to Deliver iPad 2 in 100 Days

A source at a Taiwanese component supplier said Foxconn's (2038.HK; 2354.TW) Shenzhen plant recently sent out a notification saying that it will begin shipping the iPad 2 within the next hundred days, in an initial batch of 400,000 to 600,000 units. Foxconn declined to comment on the rumor.
The iPad 2 will primarily be supplied by Foxconn's Shenzhen plant, as the manufacturer's Chengdu plant is still under construction. Foxconn's upstream component suppliers have reportedly all been notified of the company's shipment plans.
