SARFT Awards Third Provincial-Level Online TV Operators License

On December 8, Hubei Network Radio and Television received approval from China's State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT), making it the third provincial-level online broadcaster following online TV stations in Anhui and Heilongjiang provinces.

Hubei Network Radio and Television currently offers eight television channels and ten radio channels, three DTV channels, and a mobile television channel. The platform connects a local sub-platform integrating IPTV content and broadcasting to the national-level platform.

Hubei Network Radio and Television will also develop a service supporting converged networks and bidirectional interactive transmission systems, bringing IPTV, NGB, and other multichannel broadcasting technologies to computers, mobile phones, televisions, and other terminal devices.
