Rumor: BOE to Supply LCDs for Samsung Tablet

Chinese TFT-LCD manufacturer BOE (000725.SZ) has reportedly passed Samsung's product certification trials and is set to begin supplying 7-inch LCD panels for the company's Galaxy Tab tablet, industry sources say. BOE and Samsung have reportedly reached a consensus on strategic partnerships in the area of tablet computing next year, and will cooperate on tablet computers of various sizes and on high-end smartphone displays.
A source inside BOE said that the company was also planning to provide displays for Apple's iPad.
