Netease E-Mail Reaches 400 Mln Registered Users

According to the latest figures released by Chinese internet firm Netease (Nasdaq: NTES), Netease's e-mail services now have more than 400 mln registered users. The company plans to integrate e-mail with other platforms such as mobile and IM. Netease also revealed that through online advertising and internet value-added services, Netease's e-mail business has achieved profitability.

Netease today also announced it has upgraded its free e-mail services (163.com, 126.com, and yeah.net) to version 4.0, featuring a fourth generation Ajax engine and HTML5 support.
