Rumor: Lenovo's eeDoo Game Console Delayed

Sina Tech, 9/05/11

Although Beijing-based digital home entertainment company Beijing Eedoo Technology, a subsidiary of Lenovo (0992.HK), has completed technical work on its iSec gaming console and is in the final stages of establishing sales channels, the console reportedly won't launch on schedule this month. According to a source within eeDoo, the first iSecs will be user experience display models in order to drive pre-orders for the official launch, which will follow 1-2 months later, but the source cautioned that no specific timetable has been set.

In addition to a 3D webcam, the source said the iSec will also come equipped with a game controller and a remote control, both of which will be used for non-motion games. To date, the eeDoo website lists only motion games.
