Dangdang Plans Strategic Pull-back

Li Guoqing, CEO of Chinese B2C e-commerce site Dangdang (NYSE: DANG), has disclosed that Dangdang plans a strategic pull-back in terms of geographic regions and user segments in 2012. In terms of geographic coverage, Dangdang aims to reduce transport costs, particularly to border areas where it plans to re-evaluate its approach. Dangdang will also focus on existing VIP customers.

Regarding mobile services, Li said Dangdang will only focus on customer service, not promotion.
