Huayi Bros, China Telecom Partner on Micro Film Distribution

Film and TV production firm Huayi Brothers (300027.SZ) has announced a strategic partnership with China Telecom (NYSE: CHA; 0728.HK) to build a premium "micro-film and micro-drama" distribution platform. The two companies will build the "micro-film and micro-drama" channel for the China Telecom online video site E-Surfing Video. Huayi Brothers is exclusively responsible for the platform's operations management, signing of content providers, and marketing. Following the TV drama cooperation with internet giant Tencent (0700.HK), Huayi Brothers claims that this is an important next step in content providers' transition to complete entertainment operating platforms.
