Coo8 Integrates System with Gome Backend, Logistics

Gome's (0493.HK) B2C consumer electronics subsidiary Kuba Technology (Coo8.com) has begun a seven-day system upgrade to link the platform with Gome's backend platform, according to an industry insider, and is scheduled for completion on August 1. Coo8 VP Peng Liang confirmed the rumor.

The upgrade will increase Coo8's stock-keeping unit (SKU) capacity, which currently stands at nearly 100,000 units, and expand its logistics network to 300 cities and over 3,000 counties nationwide.

Gome currently provides 80% of Coo8's stock, and this figure is expected to increase to 90% in August once Coo8 is linked to Gome's supply chain. Coo8 will also link its physical and virtual warehouses with Gome's logistics network.
