Qualcomm to Release TD-SCDMA Chips in H2 2012

He Bin, senior project manager for China Mobile Terminal Co., Ltd., the terminals subsidiary of China Mobile (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK), recently disclosed that Qualcomm will release TD-SCDMA chips starting late Q3 or early Q4 this year. Earlier reports from handset vendors claimed that Qualcomm and other international chipmakers would begin releasing a number of TD-SCDMA chips after August 2012.
