Shanda Games to Adapt MMO into Film

Beijing Morning Post, 8/09/12

Chinese online game operator Shanda Games (Nasdaq: GAME) and Mili Pictures have announced that the two firms will jointly adapt Shand Games' popular MMORPG Dragon Nest into an animated feature film titled "Dragon Nest: Rise of the Black Dragon" for release in the latter half of 2013.

Shanda Games CEO Alan Tan said, "Dragon Nest" represents just our initial foray into films adapted from out games. We are also considering adapting the Legend of Mir into a film called "Image," which, as a live-action film would require a significantly larger investment.
