DoNews, 8/14/12

Chinese internet company Qihoo 360 (NYSE: QIHU) has reportedly been quietly developing a Chinese Pinyin input-method editor (IME) to be released soon, possibly on August 16, the same day Chinese handset vendor Xiaomi will make a major announcement.

According to the industry source, the IME, which will be bundled with Qihoo 360's security products such as 360 Safeguard and 360 Anti-Virus, will first be available for PCs, followed shortly by mobile clients.

A representative for Qihoo 360 had no comment on the rumor.
