Lenovo Leads Japan PC Market with 25% Share

Chinese laptop, PC, and handset manufacturer Lenovo (0992.HK) announced in Japan yesterday that one year after its acquisition of NEC's PC business, Lenovo has surpassed Toshiba and Sony to become the top PC vendor in Japan with a 25.4% market share.

Lenovo spent USD 175 mln in July 2011 to establish a joint venture in Japan and acquire NEC's PC business.
