Family SNS Nuannuan Lands USD 3 Mln in First-Round Funding

36Kr, 9/14/12

Chinese Path-clone SNS Nuannuan has landed USD 3 mln in first-round funding.

Launched in late June 2012, Nuannuan allows users to form social network connections based on family relationships. After a head of household joins, they can invite their children to register for the service to form a private social network where messages can only be viewed by other family members. Nuannuan allows users to share content in eight family life-related categories, including images, literature, music, games, and dining.

Nuannuan's co-founders, Xu Bin and Shou Ji, were previously engaged in the children's entertainment sector. Xu was a founding member of Shanghai-based children's virtual world developer and operator Taomee (NYSE: TAOM) for five years. The company is currently developing a mobile app slated for release in October.
