Punchbox Licenses Mobile Version of Dungeon & Fighter

Sina Games, 9/26/12

Beijing-based mobile games developer CocoaChina/Chukong recently confirmed that it has exclusively licensed the mainland China operating rights to the mobile version of Korean online game developer and operator Nexon's Dungeon & Fighter (DNF). The company did not announce the release schedule for the game, but revealed that the game has completed development and that localization work has begun to adapt the game to mainland Chinese players' tastes and incorporate Chinese elements.

CocoaChina/Chukong launched mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan licensed game operations in March, introducing its first game, Zhanguo (Warring States), for iOS devices, with revenue reaching RMB 30 mln in H1 2012. CocoaChina/Chukong has split its licensed and self-developed gaming divisions, and will release a dozen licensed games in H2 2012, with licensing and promotion costs reaching USD 10 mln.
