Mobile Comprises 25% of Baidu R&D Spending

iFeng Tech, 9/29/12

Robin Li, CEO of Chinese internet company Baidu (Nasdaq: BIDU), recently revealed at the China 2.0 Conference at Stanford University that the company will spend 25% of its research and development budget in the mobile space in 2012. Mobile revenue currently accounts for less than 10% of Baidu's total revenue.

According to Li, the company does not expect to see rapidly growing mobile revenue in the near future. Baidu's 2012 expenditures in the mobile space will be three times greater than its 2011 mobile expenditures.
