Skyworth September 2012 TV Shipments Up 32% YoY

Consumer electronics manufacturer Skyworth Digital Holdings (0751.HK) has announced its September 2012 TV sales data, with total TV set sales volume up 32% YoY to 1.36 mln units from a year before.
In September 2012, domestic TV set sales volume increased 28% YoY to approximately 1.07 mln units from roughly 838,000 units in September 2011. Broken down by product category, domestic sales of flat-panel TV sets increased 28% YoY to 1.07 mln units, including 1.06 mln LED LCD TV sets, up 106% YoY. Domestic sales volume of all other flat-panel TV sets fell 97% YoY to 8,600 units. Domestic CRT TV set sales volume fell 100% YoY to zero units (from 6,000 units in September 2011).
Overseas TV set sales volume grew 50% YoY to approximately 290,000 units. Broken down by product category, flat-panel TV sales increased 155% YoY to 219,900 units, with flat-panel LED LCD TV sales increasing 192% YoY reaching 166,300. Sales of other flat-panel TV sets increased 76% YoY to 47,600 units. CRT TV sets sales fell 30% YoY to 76,300 units.
Total revenue from TV sales increased 29% YoY, with revenue from the overseas market up 109% YoY, while revenue from the domestic market increased 25% YoY.
