Guanxi.me Lands First-round Funding from SingTel Innov8

Chinese LBS social networking app Guanxi.me today announced the completion of Series A funding led by SingTel Innov8 and including an investment from Timothy Draper of Draper and Associates. Guanxi Inc. recently completed its spin-off from Chinese mobile search and marketing provider mInfo Inc. (www.minfo.com).

The Guanxi.me SNS platform, operated by Guanxi Inc., allows users to "check in" to locations upon their arrival, similar to US-based Foursquare. The Guanxi.me platform also has a "radar" feature wherein users can search for and chat with other nearby users.
