Momo Launches iOS English Version

Beijing-based location-based services provider Momo Technology has released an English iOS version of its LBS mobile messenger app in the China iTunes App Store.

The English version of the app is nearly identical to the Chinese version, with the exception of the "Group Chat" feature available in the Chinese version not being included in the English version. Users can register for the English version of the app through Facebook accounts.

According to Momo, the company will include new user interfaces and "Group Chat" features in their next update for the English version of the app. Users of both Chinese and English versions of the Momo client have the ability to chat with each other through the app. Momo plans to release an English version of the app for Android after conducting overseas stability tests of the iOS version.

Momo has over 16 mln registered users who send more than 50 mln messages daily through the Momo client. 10% of Momo users are located outside of China.
