Wuhan Mobile Offers Payment-enabled SIM Cards

China Mobile (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK) announced recently that it began offering SIM cards capable of paying for cab fare and shopping purchases and borrowing books from local libraries in Wuhan earlier this month. Wuhan Mobile subscribers will be able to use the SIM cards to pay bills at more than 600 participating supermarkets, warehouses, shopping centers, cinemas, and pharmacies in the area. Participating businesses will display "Wuhantong" logos at payment terminals.
