Skyworth October 2012 TV Shipments Up 25% YoY

Consumer electronics manufacturer Skyworth Digital Holdings (0751.HK) has announced its October 2012 TV sales data, with total TV set sales volume up 25% YoY to 967,000 units, as compared to 772,000 units in October 2011.
In October 2012, domestic TV set sales volume increased 36% YoY to approximately 758,000 units from roughly 559,000 units in October 2011. Broken down by product category, domestic sales of flat-panel TV sets increased 36% YoY to 758,000 units, including 755,500 LED LCD TV sets, up 112% YoY. Domestic sales volume of all other flat-panel TV sets fell 99% YoY to 2,600 units. Domestic CRT TV set sales volume fell 100% YoY to zero units from 5,000 units in October 2011.
Overseas TV set sales volume shrank 2% YoY to approximately 209,000 units. Broken down by product category, flat-panel TV sales increased 74% YoY to 204,900 units, with flat-panel LED LCD TV sales increasing 111% YoY reaching 167,500. Sales of other flat-panel TV sets decreased 1% YoY to 39,200 units. CRT TV sets sales sank 95% YoY to 4,500 units.
Total revenue from TV sales increased 35% YoY, with revenue from the overseas market up 80% YoY, while revenue from the domestic market increased 30% YoY.
