Tudou Launches Play List Feature

Tudou.com, the online video site operated by Chinese online video operator Youku Tudou (NYSE: YOKU), announced the launch of a new playlist feature for personalized video viewing today.

Users can mouse over a video to reveal a pop-up "+" button in the lower right-hand corner. Clicking on the button will automatically add the video to a user's personal playlist, which will be displayed on the right-hand side of the Tudou homepage. On future visits, users can return to favorite videos by mousing over the "playlist" icon at the right-hand side of Tudou's page to reveal the video playlist.

Playlists are stored on Tudou's servers, allowing viewers to access the playlists from multiple computers. Tudou also stores viewers' playback positions, allowing them to easily pause and resume videos on multiple devices.

The new playlist feature applies to videos on all Tudou channels, and will be added to the site's mobile clients in future updates.
