ZTE Announces Android 4.2 Jelly Bean Version of N880E

Chinese telecom equipment and terminal manufacturer ZTE (0763.HK; 000063.SZ) today announced the availability of the Android 4.2 "Jelly Bean" version of its N880E Android smartphone. ZTE is among the one of the first Chinese vendors to provide an Android smartphone with Android 4.2.

This announcement comes one week after Google released Android 4.2, its latest operating system. Users of the ZTE N880E upgrading to Android 4.2 will experience improvements in operating performance as well as enhancements to Google Now, gesture input function, Photo Sphere panorama spherical camera functionality and the photo filter function, providing consumers with more personalized content for work and play.

The ZTE N880E features a 4-inch 480 x 800 pixel screen, 10.4mm thin metal form factor, and Qualcomm 7627A processor.
