51Buy, QQ Buy to Merge Back-end Systems in Q1 2013

Chinese internet giant Tencent's (0700.HK) e-commerce division plans to merge the back ends of its B2C e-commerce platforms 51Buy and QQ Buy in Q1 2013, but will maintain separate front-end platforms. A Tencent E-Commerce representative said the two sites will gradually integrate individual product categories, and that integration efforts are currently underway.
