One Million Renren Users Adopt Timeline Feature

Beijing-based social networking site operator Renren (NYSE: RENN) released figures today showing that more than 1 mln Renren users have begun using "Renren Timeline," the site's new personal homepage design. The new design has seen rapid and increasing uptake since its late-November release.

Wu Jiang, Renren VP and general manager of Renren Wireless, revealed that more than 60% of the service's users now log into Renren using mobile devices.

"Renren has begun fully embracing the wireless internet," Renren chairman and CEO Joe Chen said. "We designated 2012 as 'Year Zero of Wireless' - starting this year, all of Renren's products will be redesigned around mobile terminals, and some products may even be wireless-only. All of Renren's assets are rapidly being brought to the mobile internet."
