Xunlei Launches Mobile Download Accelerator App

Chinese online P2P video service provider, download accelerator software developer, and online game operator Xunlei recently released its "Grenade" ("Shoulei") mobile P2P downloader. The mobile application uses P2P accelerator technology to provide faster downloads to users' mobile devices. Users can also use version 7.2.12 of Xunlei's PC download client to boost their mobile download speed. Users can scan a 2D barcode provided by the PC client for a selected download using the Shoulei app, then use both devices for a synchronized dual-channel download. This feature requires the PC and mobile device are on the same local-area network.

Shoulei is currently available only for Android devices; an iOS version is not yet available.
