NQ Mobile Implements App Store Security for HTC

NQ Mobile, 12/13/12

Chinese mobile security provider NQ Mobile (NYSE: NQ) today announced the launch of a proprietary security check service for HTC's App Store in mainland China.

Leveraging NQ Mobile's technology for the detection of risks including spyware, phishing and viruses, the service will ensure a safe downloading channel for end users by identifying malicious software before it can be circulated. The collaboration will bring a pre-scanning service from NQ Mobile for all applications and plug-ins prior to their inclusion in HTC's App Store. This will protect the growing number of HTC subscribers from the ever-increasing risks of mobile viruses and malware by preventing harmful downloads from being made available in HTC's App Store in the first place.
