Baidu Recruiting to Expand Mobile Payment Business

According to a posting on the official website for Chinese internet company Baidu (Nasdaq: BIDU), the company is currently soliciting for high-level product managers, risk management department managers, senior operating directors, business operations managers, and other positions to be a part of the company's mobile payment team.
The company recently launched a mobile payment service, "Baidu Cloud Wallet." Baidu Cloud Wallet offers mobile payment, customer information storage, and order placement services to users and merchants. As a part of the release of the service, Baidu Cloud Wallet is currently offering online coupons and other discounted products to Baidu Cloud Wallet users.
At present, Baidu Cloud Wallet only supports payment for a small number of items within Baidu's cloud ecosystem, namely phone bill payment and a handful of other services.
Baidu Cloud Wallet is a part of Baidu's Mobile Apps Business Unit, while Baidu's third-party payment platform Baifubao, launched in 2008, is incorporated into Baidu's Commercial Products Department.
Baidu Cloud Wallet has been assigned the second-level domain wallet.baidu.com.
