Seven Stars Entertainment, Arad Productions Form Film JV

Wu Zheng, chairman of Chinese film and entertainment investment company Seven Stars Entertainment Group subsidiary Seven Stars Film Corporation, announced today that the company has partnered with Avi Arad, founder of Arad Productions Company and internationally renowned producer whose films include "The Amazing Spider-Man" and "The Avengers," to launch the joint venture "Super Storm Entertainment." The company will be purposed with developing a franchise of action movies and retail products based on Chinese culture. The joint venture is currently working on developing a film entitled "Rise of the Terracotta," which will depict terracotta soldiers who are tasked with saving the world. The film will feature five to six original Chinese superhero characters. The movie is expected to begin filming in 2014.
Since the establishment of Seven Stars Film Corporation last year, the company has invested in 14 films and purchased the rights to over 100 international films.
