China Telecom Joins Baidu, Alibaba, Tencent Server Rack Project

China Telecom (NYSE: CHA; 0728.HK) recently joined the "Tianxie" ("Scorpio") Project, which was launched by Baidu (Nasdaq: BIDU), Alibaba Group, and Tencent (0700.HK) along with Intel, which serves in a consulting role, to develop server rack solutions. China Telecom is the first company besides the founding members to join the project. The Scorpio Project Group has already filed several patents related to the project, and released the first draft of its server rack solution standards.
