Amazon Releases Web Services in China

Tencent Tech, 12/20/12

Amazon has released a Chinese language version of its Amazon Web Service (AWS) website-targeted cloud computing product, implying that the company may soon begin to provide cloud services to Chinese websites and apps.

At present, the Chinese language version of the AWS site is not yet complete, with many links on the Chinese version of the site connecting to English language pages. Various AWS products and services now appear as available in China on the Chinese language version of the site. Clients are required to use an Amazon global account to log onto the AWS China site, as opposed to an Amazon China account.
